Grace Day, beauty editor and esthetician

About

Grace Day is a fully qualified and insured esthetician, with 10+ years of industry experience as a beauty editor and skincare advisor.

Fuelled by a personal prolonged experience with acne, she began her beauty career as a skincare advisor for No7 where she received training from top dermatologists and skincare experts on best practices to treat skin concerns and build skincare routines. After working for a number of different brands in a retail advisor capacity, she transitioned into an editorial and marketing role within the beauty industry, managing content, copywriting, and education for a leading beauty retailer for over seven years. She was involved with the development and launch of product lines and received training from brands including Dermalogica, Alpha-H, Avène, and Dr. Jart+.

Grace began training as an esthetician in 2020 and has since gained a Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy (VTCT), Level 3 Diploma in Acne Treatment & Care (CPD), Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy (VTCT), Level 4 Advanced Diploma in Skincare & Treatment (CPD), and is trained (to Level 4) in LED, chemical peels, and microneedling treatments. In addition, Grace is Dermalogica Certified, and has completed the Treating Skin of Colour course by Black Skin Directory (CPD).

Grace is a contributing beauty editor for Who What Wear UK and has also written for and been featured in publications including The Evening Standard, In Style, Byrdie, Lucky Magazine, Get The Gloss, PopSugar, Marie Claire, Live That Glow, and Hypebae.

In 2023 and 2024 Grace served on the judging panel for the Who What Wear Next In Beauty Awards. In 2024 and 2025 Grace judged for the Woman & Home Skin Awards, and in 2025 she is on the judging panel for the inaugural Live That Glow Beauty Awards.

Grace launched her virtual skincare coaching and beauty personal shopping services in 2020 to offer customized and in-depth skincare advice in a setting she felt was missing from the industry. As of June 2023 she was resident esthetician at DOLLPARTS in Manchester, offering bespoke facials and IRL skincare routine consultations. Her solo salon venture, Hands Manchester was founded and opened in June 2025.

Inspired by her own experience with acne, Grace’s services combine her background as a skincare advisor and a beauty editor with her advanced facialist training in order to provide clients with aftercare and education that goes beyond the treatment room.
